Top-Tier Matchups at Neutral Sites, Raises Funds for Headstrong Foundation and Promotes Youth Participation
[Baltimore, Md. – April 25, 2024] – The College Lacrosse Live Series, a showcase of top-tier collegiate lacrosse matches across various locations, produced by Corrigan Sports Enterprises has culminated in a resounding success, drawing over 12,000 attendees and raising $7,713 for the Headstrong Foundation. College Lacrosse Live (www.collegelacrosselive.com) featured matchups between:
- The University of Delaware vs Syracuse University in Chantilly, Va, Paul VI High School
- Duke University vs University of Denver in Severn, Md, Archbishop Spalding High School
- Cornell University vs University of Notre Dame in Brookville, NY, Long Island University
All three games featured filled bleachers and a packed sideline VIP section, giving attendees an up close and personal big time college lacrosse game experience. The Long Island leg of the series saw a remarkable turnout, with an attendance of 7,480, ranking as the third largest for a college lacrosse game this year, signaling the foundational enthusiasm for the sport in the region. Alongside the collegiate matchup, each game was paired with a high school contest to bring a local feel to the event. “CSE was able to create and intimate atmosphere in a unique environment that highlighted the enthusiasm of the game, I know our guys were psyched to play in the event,” said Gary Gait, Men’s Lacrosse coach of Syracuse University. Each College Lacrosse Live game also featured a Champion Rising Stars All-Star Game, boasting 120 participants from 23 different clubs, providing a platform for budding talents to showcase their skills and passion for lacrosse.
“CSE was thrilled to work with the participating College programs and the host schools to deliver three very exciting games. We want to thank the coaches of all the participating schools for having a shared vision in making this event series a success! By providing unique uniforms, our partner Champion did a great job engaging scores of local club players and families in the Champion Rising Stars All-Star Game,” said President Lee Corrigan. “And the participating High Schools had the thrill of playing on the same field as the college teams and most notably the intimate venues brought out the enthusiasm of the lacrosse fans!”
Parental feedback underscored the success of the event, with one parent expressing, “We thought this was a fantastic event. It was well run, and it did what is most important to us, which is to keep the kids excited about lacrosse! The kids loved playing in the All-Star game and had a blast watching the high school and college games. Thank you for the opportunity to participate!” Another parent echoed similar sentiments, stating, “My son loved it. It was a special opportunity to be part of such a big event and have my son play in the Champion All-Star Game. The Champion uniforms given to the player were great. I can’t think of a better day than having all three games, youth, High School and College stacked like that. It’s the perfect day as a lacrosse fan.”
The Chief Development Officer and brother of Founder of HEADstrong Foundation, Pat Colleluori, mentioned, “On behalf of the HEADstrong Foundation and those who depend on us, we wish to express our deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation for your unwavering support and commitment to the HEADstrong mission through CSE’s College Lacrosse Live event series. We are honored to be your philanthropic partner and appreciate the generosity of CSE and all the folks that attended the events this spring.”
The College Lacrosse Live Series not only showcased thrilling matchups between the best programs in the country but also fostered community engagement and support for a worthy cause, exemplifying the power of sports within the community. Corrigan Sports Enterprises looks forward to building on this success in future editions, further promoting the growth and development of lacrosse at all levels.
